Crimped Wire Mesh: A Versatile Woven Grid Material

Overview
Crimped wire mesh is a universal material created through a crimping process then weaving. It is manufactured in various metal compositions.

Production Method
Crimping machines form a pattern along the wire length before weaving commences. This process leaves the wire with a textured crimped profile prior to forming the woven grid pattern.

Material Options
Wire materials include steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other metals. This allows selection of the ideal composition for each application's structural and environmental requirements.

Weave Pattern
The standard crimped weave results in a grid with square or rectangular openings. Other geometric patterns can be specified to meet unique functional or aesthetic needs.

Applications
Thanks to its formability and compositional versatility, crimped wire mesh serves a wide variety of markets. Common uses include filtration, grain handling, machine guards, drainage and more.

Qualities
The crimped texture combined with standard woven format produces a mesh with good rigidity, strength and drainage properties. It is also economical to manufacture at production scales.

Weaving: Pre-crimping before Weaving. In two-way separated wave bending, locked bending, flat-topped curved, two-way bending, one-way separated wave bending.

Applications:
